Not feeling as frustrated as I was the other day anymore. I got my ED fix last night. Had an interesting case too. A 4 month old baby came in from the local doctor after mum took him to have his vaccinations done. The doctor found that his heart rate was really fast. When he arrived, his heart was racing at 278 beats per minute! The impressive thing was that Natalie and I managed to do a pretty decent ECG on him, and were able to diagnose what sort of arrhythmia he was in despite the wriggling around a 4-month-old does! But after four long hours of trying to convert him back to a sinus rhythm, (including dunking his face in very icy cold water a couple of times!) he got transferred to the kids hospital. =(
