Gettin' lazy, and throwing in the towel

Boy it's getting hard getting up at 7am on a Sunday morning to songlead, especially when you're only doing it once a month and the rest of the time you're going to another service in another location at another time.

I feel so out of touch with that service now and because I'm only there the week I'm singing, I kind of don't feel as though I have the right to be up there leading at all. It's a strange feeling, and I don't think I'm describing it very well, but hey, that's kind of the gist of it. And when you feel so out of touch with that service, it's even more fiddly and strange when things don't go quite as planned, such as when one of your vocalists isn't able to come to rehearsal, and on the morning of the service tells you that they are also chairing the service (they only find out the night before that they're chairing, and don't ring you back when you leave a message for them to) and the guitarist can't play cos his guitar won't stay tuned due to the cold weather... Things like this happen EVERY month. I think it's satan, personally, trying to pull all stops and I must say he's never been sucessful, and ultimately, God is always glorified in the end cos things just always work out anyway, but as of about a month ago, I've decided to cut all ties at the end of the year with that service, and concentrate on the one, even if it means that that service is short of people serving. There. I've said it. Phew. So after all that, it's probably got nothing to do with laziness after all, other than the advantage of that is that I get to sleep in a little every Sunday morning! YAY!

Other than that, life is just hunky dory... Ok, so I lie, but I'm not going to go into all that. I can't be bothered rambling anymore.
