3 chocolate cakes and a 30c profit...
This past birthday I ended up being blessed with 3 beautifully delicious chocolate cakes. One given to me by Joanne, a friend I've known since she was a newborn, and a homemade cake lovingly baked by none other than the Princess herself! (below) (Thanks Jacqui!!! =) )

and of course, a cake bought by my mother which is the most divine chocolate cake I've ever tasted from Savoy in Burwood!
Now you're probably wondering how a 30c profit was made, right? Well let me explain!
I have not been to the zoo in Sydney for so long, that it's probably been more than a decade, (not since I was in high school, maybe?) so I decided that since I've finished with students this year, I was going to take a day off on my birthday (which happened to be today) and go to the zoo. It's the zoo's 90th anniversary this year, so they decided that if you go on your birthday, you get in for 90 cents!!! The normal admission price is now $32.00!!!! Bargain! So here are some pics...
Laura, Sarah, Trini and Bics (S is in the pram asleep...) checking out the pelicans and ducks...

A very friendly duck befriending Laura
The big show-off of the day
And the cliche view of the harbour as we waited for the bird show to begin

Sarah enjoying pulling her mother's hair... I mean enjoying the seal show

We then ran for it and just made it onto the sky safari before it closed (uphill, pushing a pram and carrying two tired toddlers!) Thanks Laura for running up the hill with me/ for me!
You're still wondering how a 30c profit was made, yeah?
At the exit, we picked up today's newspaper for free, included as part of our admission.... except that the paper was worth $1.20, and I had gotten in for 90c!!! Score!
