The head of cardiology at the hospital where my career first began was found dead by his teenage daughter at home early this morning. No one knows what the COD is yet. I guess it would be ironic, though not surprising if it was a massive MI (heart attack). My sources tell me that he was at work last night until 6 at a meeting, seemingly in satisfactory health, and just like that, he dropped dead and now he's gone. It makes you take a step back, appreciate life, each other, smell the roses and not take anything for granted, doesn't it?
