Pain!
Since Sunday night after church I have had a wry neck. I thought it was going away...WRONG! It only got worse. A physio yesterday very briefly tried to mobilise it, to no avail. I tried hot packs, NSAIDs, which worked, but only very temporarily. I decided not to cancel work for today but I had to at 6am this morning because I woke up with a headache from it at 5 to 6 when my alarm went off! Boy don't I feel bad for calling in sick an hour before I was due to be at work! I decided to make an appointment to see the physio which a friend referred me to. It was interesting to say the least as he used some machines and treatments I had never had used on me before, and believe me, I've had my fair share of physiotherapy appointments! The things I've never had before were suction cup treatment and traction on my neck. That was fun...not...well, it was more interesting. Those two things on their own didn't actually hurt, but for some logical reason, instead of walking out of the clinic feeling better, my neck is in more pain. Back for more torture tomorrow morning!! =/
I now have to ramble about a couple of interesting things I saw on my way to the physio appointment.
**And here starteth the ramble**
Along East Street, as I was approaching the second roundabout, there were about a dozen police officers along the side of the road with their cars and station wagons parked respectively. One of the station wagons actually had a police dog in the back too, but what was of more interest was that one of the police cars had actually been smashed in the front. That alone isn't all that interesting, I must admit, but my curiosity is in how it happened in the first place. The second thing I saw which makes the first thing interesting is when I got to the car park near the physio place, there was a real estate agent across the road which had broken glass on the footpath in front of it, which had been cordoned off by the police. The media were across the road, and a police paddy wagon was there too. I just wonder if the two are linked? Oh well, probably not...
**And here endeth the ramble**
