Procrastinating
I'm doing a five star job of avoiding my 4000 word essay today, although I did just get home from the library to pick up a book that I think might be relevant. Online, the library catalogue said the book was available on the shelf, but just before I left to drive all the way in to town to borrow it, I decided to ring and ask to have the book set aside for me, just in case someone got to it whilst I was driving out there. Lucky I did, as the lady I spoke to got to the shelf only to find that the book wasn't there, nor on any of the sorting shelves, and was therefore missing! That was two days ago. This morning, I rang again as one of the librarians had rung while I was out last night, and found out that the book had reappeared. What a fiasco just for a book that'll probably turn out to be totally useless to my essay! Anyway, I've spent the last two days gathering material, so I think for now, I've run out of steam and need a break. What better thing to occupy myself with than preparing for SPAM tonight. I'm chairing. I've never chaired anything at church before, and it's a rather scary idea at the moment. SPAM is our acronym for Sharing, Prayer and Missions. It's when all the Bible study groups get together every two months to pray for the missionaries from our church, hear an update on one of the missionary families, share about what we've been learning in our Bible study group, and hear a talk by a guest speaker. Here is a picture of most of my Care group (Bible study group).
What better thing to distract myself from the scary thought with now than posting up a couple of pictures of a sunset from a few weeks ago. These two photos were inspired by electrin's photoblog. Worth checking out! Although my photos definitely aren't as cool as his!
Okay, back to work!
