To blog or not to blog, that is the question

Currently, I am sitting on my bed at a very funky B&B with free wireless internet access in Stratford Upon Avon. We're going to see all that is Shakespeare tomorrow!!!

This is a bit of a recap of the last few days:
We flew to Scotland on the 7th. We did a tour of Edinburgh Castle where they have started setting up for the Military Tattoo in August. It's being set up in the car park, and I was surprised by that cos the car park is actually alot smaller than it looks on TV. The start of a fastpaced frantic tour with a foul mouthed
drunk Scotsman as our tourguide started on the 8th. Scotland was gorgeous! We took a cruise on
Loch Ness, dipped our feet into the constant 5 C water, have seen some
beautiful castles, and dramatic mountains. We've seen where they shot
alot of the scenes from Braveheart, and saw where Hagrid's hut was and
where Buckbeat was chained up in the third Harry Potter movie. We also saw Sean Connery's house from afar! On our return to Edinburgh, we hired a car, and ended up in the beautiful Lake District of Cumbria. We stayed in the attic room of a gorgeous little B&B and saw all things Beatrix Potter. It was most cute and gorgeous.
Yesterday, we made our way to York where we tasted Yorkshire Pudding! It was the best pub grub I've tasted so far. This morning, we decided that we couldn't leave York without seeing at least a little bit of it, so we decided to see Clifford's Tower. It then took us a while to get there, but we did it! We got to Lyme Park and saw Pemberly! That's right, it's where the BBC shot the outside scenes for Pemberly! Die-hard P&P fans, and die hard Colin Firth fans eat your hearts out! I got very snap-happy and didn't want to leave. We loved every second of it! Well actually, the house is called Lyme Hall, and they only used the outside and the grounds for the series...

And then we arrived in Shakespeare country very late this afternoon.

Photos when I have them burnt onto disc. I know I keep saying that. Apologies. Sorry, I didn't bring my cable and software to load up onto this stranger's laptop!

Ok, must go now, and let Liz have a go on this...

But I do promise that when I am back in the land of Oz, I shall post in more detail and more extensively about our adventures!!!
