Still Sick and Annoyed
I'm missing two days of work so far because of this stupid flu. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually wanted to be at work today, and am annoyed that I'm sick and can't go to work. I rang in to call in sick for tomorrow and my manager was halfway through saying "I wish I was sick with the flu." when I stopped her and reminded her how awful it is being fluey, not being able to breathe properly. I think the poor woman just wants some time off, despite the fact she only had a couple weeks' annual leave not too long ago. Well, at least my throat doesn't feel as tight today, but I'm still croaky and snuffly, and my eustachian tubes are blocked [read: ears]. I also had a low grade fever yesterday and today, only 37.3°C but gosh I felt crook. The only productive things I've done today are compiling a CD (had to go out and buy the blank discs first), which was annoying in itself, as my computer wasted a disc telling me the disc couldn't fit anymore in after only burning two tracks onto it! Then I was finishing filling out some forms so Zoë can hand them in for me tomorrow to the manager for the conference, some knitting, and watching crap on TV. I suppose the TV watching bit isn't very productive at all, huh? I feel like a sleep now, but if I do, then I won't sleep tonight, so it's back to unproductiveness now to pass some more time.
