While you were sleeping...
~0420hrs Sunday 17th July two drunken idiots in a ute they may or may not have stolen went for a joyride down my street... and did this to my car:

They must've been going so fast that this is what happened to the vehicle they were travelling in:

To the left of the pic along the curb right next to the flipped vehicle was where my car was originally parked. The impact was so huge that my car was pushed about 10 metres back and diagonally so that it ended up in the middle of the road.
My insurance company assessed it today and declared it a total loss.
I am not happy, Jan. But my mother, in trying to point out the brighter side of the situation thinks I should feel happy that my car probably saved these idiots' lives. The ute would otherwise have slammed into the powerpole in front of our house or the big tree in front of our neighbours' house, and then there would've been two dead bodies in front of our house. Fun. Well, I don't feel consoled by that fact. Yet. So... what happened after their vehicle flipped? Well, they crawled out through the no-longer-existent front windscreen and ran off, of course, as you do. The only reason why we know all this was cos 2 railway security guards were driving around at that time of the night and spotted them, of course.
And to top all this off, I only put a full tank of petrol in it on Friday night. Grrr.
